We at Insitu have been selling the Stokke Tripp Trapp® since 1979 and have watched its development grow from strength to strength whilst keeping its original design principal in place. Not only do we sell it, but we use them with our own families, so we can talk from experience too.

The idea behind the unusual style is that not only is your child encouraged to sit properly from as young as 6 months, but also that they can sit alongside you at the dining table as part of the family, enabling them to join in with meal times and activities.

The seat and footplate are adjustable so that the chair does literally grow with your child. This means it’s their chair for life (yes life) So a good colour choice now means less embarrassment at college! The footplate encourages less fidgeting and a better sitting position, as your child is not left dangling their feet. Basically it means a much happier child and calmer environment for everyone, which can’t be a bad thing!
