Insitu Store was established by furniture designer Jonathan Macmillan in 1985. Since that time he has developed a close working relationship with major manufacturers like: Ligne Roset from France, Varier and Ekornes from Norway, Hammel from Denmark, Collins & Hayes , Tetrad from UK, Holtkamp from Germany as well as with many smaller producers where the accent is upon quality and style.

Insitu, one of the few independent furniture stores in the Midlands area, has been likened to an oasis in this area for those seeking good advice for contemporary furniture, accessories and lighting.

Whilst it's resources are huge, Insitu's team deliberately remains quite small. Design led and recruited through their interest, each of the five members of the Insitu sales team regularly undertake in house and supplier based training, including factory visits and formal study. With broadly based ideas and very individual approaches there are few customers' objectives that the team cannot meet or advise upon.
